I’m Victoria Erskine. I’m a seasoned traveller and travel professional with 22 years of experience in booking and planning bespoke trips for clients. I founded Travel Whisper in 2023 and, while I haven’t been everywhere (yet), if I’ve not visited a place you’re interested in, I will definitely know someone who has and I can call upon the expertise of a trusted network of like-minded souls who will support me in crafting your perfect travel experience.

How can I be sure I’m safe booking with an independent travel agent?
I belong to the same membership and regulatory bodies as the high street and internet companies – possibly more than some of them. Any booking with me is ATOL protected, so you have the same guarantees that you would if booking with a faceless corporate agency.
What does a personal travel expert do?
I work with all suppliers, ensuring you have access to the whole market for your trip. I’m not tied to a parent company or targeted on commission earnings, and I build relationships for the long term so that year on year I have a deeper knowledge and understanding of what matters to you so that I can build the perfect escape, whatever your preferences.
Why wouldn’t I just book online?
Because it takes time. Time to understand a destination, the options for accommodation and getting there as well as local customs and alternatives that you might not find but might be exactly what you’re looking for… but if you don’t know of these places, you won’t search for them. My experience and my network of contacts on the ground mean that I can create the perfect getaway, and take the stress of searching off your hands.
How much experience have you got?
I’ve worked in travel and hospitality my whole life. I studied Tourism at University and have worked in many areas of the sector, including planning trips for ultra-high-net-worth individuals for the finest global luxury travel group. Now I bring my skills and experience to my own business and I love every second of it.
Does it cost more to use your services?
Not necessarily. I can book more bespoke trips, which can add to the budget, but I have access to the whole of the market and am not restricted to a single provider, so I can often find a comparable deal than a high street or website operator might. And if I think you can save money booking something direct, I will tell you plain and simple. I build connections and relationships that span years, and every booking will be more bespoke than the previous as I learn what matters to you and your family, what you like, what you love and what must be avoided at all costs.
Do you only book long holidays to far-flung places?
Not at all. I can help with simple city breaks in Europe, or even rail and a hotel if you need to pop to London for a night or two. But I can also plan much more complex trips, and I will always make sure that your hotel knows if you need a quieter room or need access to the gym and pool facilities. It’s all about the personal touch.
Does it matter what my budget is?
No, of course not! I do deal with some very expensive holiday options, but I am equally capable of booking two weeks in the sun for that all-important summer break. And with my extensive destination knowledge, I might even find something better than you could have hoped for. I will always work within your budget, and give you options to evaluate.
